A late 18th century inlaid floor standing library bookcase. Shell and quarter fan inlays to the corners of the top and sides. Boxwood and ebony, triple strung glazing bars, with lovely old glass. Cuban mahogany the whole is raised on original, inlaid square block feet. The backboards have recently been recovered in hand marbled paper and the two shelves recovered in linen. Condition is very good with no obvious faults. Construction solid, timber is a good colour which has clearly been cared for. One or two panes of glass have been replaced using antique glass.
