A superb solid silver tea strainer and stand, beautifully designed. This nicely pierced strainer bowl has delicately decorated handles either side. The strainer sits on the circular bowl, to catch residue drips, and has three elegant scallop feet. Clear hallmarks are visible on both the strainer and bowl for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1939 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the silver makers marks for Barker Brothers Silver Ltd.
A most attractive tea strainer; and a very practical item. Would make a wonderful gift.
