Arts and Crafts Silver Twin Handled Bowl Chester 1904 Nathan & Hayes

Description

A stunning, heavy gauge arts and crafts silver bowl with a hammered finish, sitting on one circular foot. The ornate twin handles are a scroll design with a mythical creature, possibly griffin heads.

 

Crisp and clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Chester Assay office with a date mark for 1904 and Lion Passant. The silver maker's mark is also clear: George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

 

Condition: In lovely antique condition with some minor indentations and scratching to the bowl interior.

 

Hallmarks: Chester 1904 George Nathan & Ridley Hayes.

 

Measurements: Height of main bowl: 4 cm. Diameter width at widest part including handles: 15 cm

Weight: 155 grams
