Fine Silver Tea Strainer With Stand Sheffield 1916

A superb solid silver tea strainer and stand, beautifully designed. This nicely pierced strainer bowl has two beautifully decorated handles either side. The bowl sits on the circular stand, which has a tray to the base to catch residue drips and three upright supports with a circular support to hold the strainer in position. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1916 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the silver maker''s marks for Harrison Brothers & Howson.
 
 
 
A most attractive tea strainer; and a very practical item. Would make a wonderful gift.
