Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Clean platinum diamond jewellery using a soft-bristled brush, warm water, and mild detergent to remove surface oils. Store the item in a fabric-lined box away from other pieces to prevent the diamonds from scratching other materials.

A double clip brooch can be worn intact on the lapel of a tailored jacket or coat. Alternatively, the individual clips can be unmounted and attached to the neckline of a gown, the pockets of a suit, or the straps of a dress.

Authentic pieces feature French hallmark stamps such as the dogs head mark for platinum, makers marks, and heavy hand-assembled settings. They also display characteristic geometric or architectural shapes, baguette-cut diamond accents, and spring-loaded double clip mechanisms.

High-end French dress clips of the 1930s were predominantly crafted from platinum or white gold to provide a durable setting for precious gemstones. They were set with diamonds cut in various geometric shapes, including baguette, brilliant, and single cuts.

An Art Deco double clip brooch is a piece of fine jewellery created during the 1930s featuring two symmetrical clips mounted on a single removable frame. This design allowed the wearer to display the piece as a unified brooch or detach the clips to wear them separately on lapels, straps, or necklines.
