Completely Silver Edwardian Wedding Cake Knife

A very superior completely solid silver, Edwardian, Wedding Cake Knife. The Knife has a glorious silver handle designed in the Albany pattern, with clear, crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay office and a date mark for 1903, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and silver maker''s mark for the silversmith: Harrison Brothers & Howson. The blade, also solid silver, has stunning and unusual engravings and is adorned with swirls, leaves and fruits, including pineapples and melons - here the hallmarks are also clearly visible. One side is the serrated edge (in lovely condition).
 
 
 
The knife comes in the attractive original purple velvet lined presentation case.
 
 
 
This is an exceptional cake knife and would be wonderful as a wedding gift, for use at a wedding or for any celebration cake. It is in super condition. As well as being exquisite, this item is also very practical!
