A superb large sized, heavy gauge solid silver mustard pot. Very nicely designed, this pot is a lovely plain polished silver the only decoration being the delightful rope beaded edge to the lid and the base, and the charming loop handle with thumb piece. Inside the pot is the original blue glass liner (there are some very tiny nibbles to the liner only felt when a finger is run around the inside edge, they do not detract from this item whatsoever).Hallmarks are visible on one side for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1936 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the maker''s mark for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.
