Aquamarine has been prized for centuries, gaining widespread popularity in elaborate cocktail rings during the mid-20th century due to its icy blue hue and durability.

These pieces typically feature a central beryl gemstone paired with brilliant-cut diamonds, set in platinum or white gold to complement the cool tones of the stones.

Authenticity is determined by examining metal purity hallmarks, assessing the age-appropriate wear on the mountings, and analysing gemstone cut characteristics under magnification.

Such a ring serves as a focal point, pairing well with understated evening wear or serving as a striking contrast to casual everyday attire.

Clean gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh chemicals, and store separately in a fabric-lined box to prevent scratching.
