Stunning Cased Silver Tea Strainer Sheffield 1931

A superior, heavy gauge solid silver Tea Strainer in the original leatherette case. The design is superb - so aesthetically pleasing to the eye with nicely patterned pierced work to the bowl. The handle is also a delight with a lovely fret pattern to the top.
 
Clear hallmarks are visible on the back of the handle for the Sheffield Assay office with date mark for 1931 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also clear: Roberts & Dore Ltd.
 
 
 
The quality of this item is clearly evident, it is delightful to look at and it feels lovely and sturdy to hold in the hand - an exceptional tea strainer.
 
It comes in the original black leatherette box.
