An most attractive solid silver Cream / Milk Jug. The shape is a lovely baluster design. It has a sparrow beak pourer and nicely shaped handle decorated with neat silver baubles to the rim. . The body of the Jug is a plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing apart from a nicely engraved armorial and clear, crisp hallmarks on one side for the London Assay Office with a date mark of 1919 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also visible for Wakely & Wheeler.
Please note that because the surface of the Jug is highly polished silver the images show other reflections when photographed.
A fine Cream Jug which feels nice and sturdy and is a good heavy gauge silver.
Condition: In lovely condition with no dents or scratches.
