A particularly attractive solid silver Cream / Milk Jug. The jug is a nice Baluster shape with a lovely wavyline edge to the flared rim. It sits on three paw feet with leaf design to the top of each foot. The handle design compliments the style of the Jug. Very clear crisp hallmarks are visible on the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1962 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also very clear for Joseph Gloster Ltd.
The jug sands nice and firm and is a good heavy gauge silver.
