Superb Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Glazed Secretaire Bookcase On Cupboard

This Superb Quality 19th century Victorian Mahogany Antique Glazed Secretaire Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1870 has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with key with working lock. The interior comprises of three adjustable shelves. The middle section has a rectangular moulded top above a deep secretaire drawer with fold down front, turned handles and moulded edges. The interior has a burgundy leather writing insert, small satin birch drawers and four pigeon holes. The lower section has two beautifully figured cupboard doors with moulded edges and beautiful carved corbels and the interior has a central removable shelf. This Quality antique bookcase stands on a plain plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The Mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
