Silver Twin Handled Bowl By Goldsmiths London 1904

A very striking Edwardian silver bowl. The bowl is a lovely plain polished silver and is decorated with double banding to the rim and the waist and stands on a circular foot. The two attractive ''C'' scroll handles have a charming shield detail to where they attach to the body of the bowl. Hallmarks are visible to one side of the bowl for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1904 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also clear for the renowned silversmith: Goldsmiths Company.
The quality of the silversmith is evident and the bowl is in lovely antique collector''s condition.
Measurements: Height: 8.5 cm to top of handle. Width: 17 cm Diameter width of bowl: 10.4 cm
