E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The interior having3 adjustable shelves with ebony strung fronts. The base having an ebony strung square edge and boxwood and ebony strung top. The fall front secretaire drawer having ebony outline stringing and the same boxwood and ebony string as do the 3 long oak lined drawers below. All with replaced stamped oval plate brass drop swag handles. The interior of secretaire having green leather writing surface and 4 arched pigeon holes with ebony stringing flanked by 8 short drawers and a long drawer above again all with ebony divides. The whole sitting on square tapered legs inlaid with satinwood panels and collar below.
