What can only be described as splendid: a stunning, circular, Edwardian solid silver Pot Pourri Box. The pierced lid is outstanding in design with a flower as the centrepiece, with wonderful floral patterns branching out from the centre. The lid pulls off neatly. The body of the pot is decorated with pretty swirls . Clear hallmarks are visible to the inside lip of the pot and also on the lid itself, for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1909 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker''s mark is also clearly visible for William Comyns & Sons.
The superior craftmanship is evident!
Condition: In lovely antique collector''s condition. The lid is superb. (There are some very minor dings to he base of the Pot which we mention for accuracy only).
Hallmarks: London 1909 by William Comyns & Sons.
Measurements: Height: 3 cm Diameter width across lid: 5.8 cm
