Description

Very unusual and decorative Italian paint and gilt highlighted open adjustable bookcase with the most fabulous original mercury mirror glass top surface, circa 1890.

Great size to this adjustable bookcase, you could say a 3/4 height, so it is not an overpowering proportions and you can use the top mirrored surface for display which looks fabulous with a collection of small bronzes for example.

This piece has been able to age gracefully, the paint and gilt has worn areas and has a great look.

The interior is finished with a vintage green baize and you can set the shelves to suit you.

Great piece and being slim, it will work in a number of locations.
