A superb Victorian silver Twin handled bowl: super stylish design and a great heavy gauge silver. The bowl is decorated with a half fluted pattern to the base. The top of the bowl has several protruding borders and the rim graduates upwards towards the nicely shaped handles whichenhance the overall appearance. Lightly engraved on one side of the bowl is a crest. The other side of the bowl bears the hallmarks for the London Assay office with a date mark for London 1888 along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and maker''s mark for the silversmith FB Thomas & Co. The mark for Thomas & Co is also stamped underneath.
An exceptional bowl, the craftmanship of the silversmith is most apparent.
Condition: In lovely antique condition.
