Hamptons of London Victorian Walnut Antique Bookcase

This beautiful large 19th century Antique Victorian Walnut Breakfront Bookcase dates from ca. 1880 and has its original makers stamp ‘Hamptons, Pall Mall, London’. The piece has a breakfront moulded top above a moulded frieze, four glazed doors with beautiful carvings, carved corbels, key and working lock. Each interior has three adjustable shelves, the piece stands on a breakfront moulded plinth and the sides have raised fielded panels. This quality antique bookcase has aged to a medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
