Victorian Mahogany Antique Glazed Bookcase on Cupboard

This Delightful 19th Century Victorian Mahogany Antique Glazed Bookcase on Cupboard circa, 1860 has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded edge and key with working lock. The interior comprises of two adjustable shelves and has been later painted. The lower section has a small moulded top above two beautifully figured doors and the piece has four decorative carved corbels. The lower interior is unique due to there being three sliding linen trays which are ideal for storage. This antique bookcase is full of the charm and character that you would expect to find from a true antique and the piece stands on on a plain plinth and splits into two sections or removal. The Mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
