The interior has two adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular top above a mahogany lined frieze drawer, two beautiful scrolled carved corbels and two cupboard doors with moulded edges and the interior has a fixed shelf above a drawer with brass swan neck handles. The piece stands on a plain plinth, has original backboards and splits into two sections for ease of removal. This antique bookcase is a country piece, having wear consistent with age giving great character and authenticity and is full of charm and character. It is a warm mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
