It has a small raised back above a rectangular moulded top and has three adjustable shelves. This splendid antique open bookcase stands on a plain plinth and the mahogany has aged to a warm mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
