Sampson Mordan Scent Bottle With Specific Date Lozenge 10.6.1882

A fabulous Sampson Mordan silver scent / perfume bottle. The silver bottle is in a barley twist, cylindrical design with unusual stylised engraving. The lid is hinged and when opened reveals the glass interior and the original glass stopper (there are some tiny nibbles to this glass stopper which we mention for accuracy).
 
 
 
This is an exceptional scent bottle: additionally to the hallmarks on the inside of the lid, the specific date lozenge is visible for 10th June 1882 (see image 3).
 
 
 
The clear and crisp hallmarks are also visible on the base of the bottle for London 1882 with maker''s mark for Sampson Mordan.
 
 
 
Condition: In lovely antique collector''s condition (as mentioned, some damage to the base of the glass stopper along with some tiny nibbles)
