The upper bookcase section features a "Swan-Neck" pediment with a pair of doors below fitted with bevelled glass panels. These doors open to reveal three adjustable shelves, whilst the lower section has a well-fitted secretaire drawer which retains its fine original gilt-tooled red leather writing surface and range of seven drawers and three pigeonholes. Further below are two panelled doors which open to reveal cupboards. The whole piece rests on a plinth base. This is a most useful and versatile piece of quality furniture in a compact size.
