A charming solid silver dish in the form of a shell. The dish sits on three ball feet and has a full circular handle on the top. Clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1895 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also clearly visible for the silver maker Hilliard & Thomason .
