A handsome Victorian silver pepperette, in the original case. The pepperette is a lovely baluster shape, with nicely patterned piercing to the pull off top and neat finial. It stands on a circular foot. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1884 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also clear for the silversmith: Thomas Bradbury & Sons. This pepperette is presented in the original brown leatherette case, which is in lovely condition. Inside the case reveals a deep blue velvet pad for housing the pepperette and the inside of the lid is a lovely turquoise satin.
