For sale is a good quality 19th Century Carved Padouk Wood Desk, having a row of small drawers, and a rectangular door enclosing stationery divisions, projecting base with drawers to frieze, pierced and carved throughout with blossoming prunus, square section cabriole legs with masks to knees, standing on lion paw feet. The desk is in very good condition for its age.

The superstructure holds an intricate openwork gallery, a row of three small drawers with round wooden pulls, and a rectangular cabinet door. Below sits a rectangular writing surface and a projecting base with frieze drawers adorned with floral relief carving. The frame rests on square-section cabriole legs decorated with carved masks on the knees and terminating in beast claw feet. The desk measures 115 cm high, 84 cm wide, and 61 cm deep.
