This is a fine quality mahogany revolving bookcase with a decorative ormolu galleried top. Its large dimensions would suggest its former home may have been a public institution, private members club or library. This well designed attractive bookcase can hold a vast amount of books of all sizes. Its base is supported by four original brown porcelain wheel castors (that are in excellent condition), and the bookcase itself by a decorative cast iron superstructure. Now after some sensitive restoration this bookcase is ready for many more years of use - and most importantly it spins beautifully !!
