What can only be described as a sleek and stylishly designed solid silver Inkwell with pen rest. This Inkwell is a beautiful oval shape with an all-in-one stand culminating at the top with an oval lid, hinged, which opens and closes perfectly. It is fitted with the original clear glass liner. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side with partial marks underneath the lid, for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1930 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker's marks are also clear for A & J Zimmerman Ltd.

Would look great on display or perfect for use. Iconic look of the 1930's!
