Description

This is an elegant early 19th century Regency period bookcase cabinet of lovely quality dating from around 1820. The bookcase has an Egyptian revival styling with classical gilt bronze caryatids as columns to the sides. The base has elegant gilt bronze trellising to the pleated curtained doors and there is a pierced bronze gallery to the top section. The mahogany cabinet is a lovely colour throughout with satinwood line inlaid decoration.

This is a very handsome piece of furniture with lovely proportions measuring 150 cms high 104 cms wide by 34 cms deep.
