A wonderful and unusual Scottish silver Child''s Spoon. The decorative handle of the spoon is embellished with a Humpty Dumpty character and the words ''Humpty Dumpty'' The back of the spoon bowl bears clear hallmarks for the Glasgow Assay Office with a date mark for 1930 and Lion passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s marks are for the Glasgow silversmiths: W H Collins & Co.
The spoon is a good solid heavy gauge silver would make a perfect New Baby or Christening gift, and more exceptional being Glasgow silver!
Condition: In fine antique condition.
Hallmarks and maker''s marks: Glasgow 1930 by W H Collins & Co.
