A most attractive, Victorian, solid silver Nurse''s Belt Buckle, nicely shaped and beautifully pierced design. A great heavy gauge and substantial buckle.
Clear hallmarks are visible on the back of the Buckle for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1898 along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker''s mark for the silversmith Deakin & Francis Ltd is also clear.
