Superb Edwardian Silver Nursery Rhyme Spoon Birmingham 1903

An adorable solid silver child''s nursery rhyme spoon. A lovely design and a particularly nicely shaped spoon. The spoon features the nursery rhyme: Little Miss Muffet and is embossed with Miss Muffet and the spider and the words ''Little Miss Muffett'' on the bowl. The handle features the characters from ''Hey Diddle Diddle'' including the Dog, the Cow and the Cat and Fiddle.
 
On the back of the spoon handle are the very clear crisp hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1903 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the maker''s mark for Levi & Salaman.
 
 
 
A most attractive spoon - great as a Christening or New Baby gift!
