A rare solid silver snuff box, wonderfully proportioned in a small scale size by the renowned Georgian Silversmith: Samuel Pemberton.
The box is an oval shape, hinged to one side of the lid, which is beautifully decorated. There is also a lovely band of leaf decoration around the centre of the body of the box.
When opened the hallmarks are revealed for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1793 and the maker''s mark for Samuel Pemberton.
The lid closes and fits snuggly (this was to ensure the snuff did not escape).

Condition: This Snuff Box is in great antique collector''s condition. (There are some very minor surface scratches and a couple of very minor dints to the base, commensurate with the age of the item). Please see the images for clarification.
