Silver Jack & Jill Nursery Spoon Glasgow 1930 by W H Collins

1920 - 1940
Description

An adorable solid silver child's nursery rhyme spoon. A lovely design with a nicely shaped bowl (very suitable for feeding a baby or young child) and a charming handle featuring Jack and Jill from the the nursery rhyme. On the back of the bowl clear hallmarks are visible for the Glasgow Assay Office with a date mark for 1930 and maker's marks for W H Collins & Co.

 

Wonderful collector's spoon, especially as this item is Glasgow silver!

 

Condition: This spoon is in great antique condition, however, there are some scratches to the inside of the spoon bowl - (see final image for verification).

 

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Glasgow 1930 by W H Collins & Co.

 

Measurements:

Spoon length: 9.8 cm approx.

Width of spoon bowl: 3.2 cm at widest part.

Weight: 16.2 grams approx.
