A very fine, art deco, solid silver Cigarette Case, clasped and hinged on one side, when the button is pushed the Case flips open. The exterior of the case is decorated with a dapper herringbone design with a retangular shaped empty cartouch in one corner. When opened a gilded interior is revealed with an original elastic band for holding in the cigarettes. The clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on the inside of the lid for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1946 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.
