This is a most exceptional Christening Set comprising a solid silver fork and spoon. It is superbly and unusually decorated with a lovely shaped handle to each, which are also beautifully decorated at the top with a tied garland. This theme is emulated on the back of the spoon bowl with the same garland encased in a wreath of leaves. The back of each item bears the clear hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1920 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker''s marks can also be seen (though very slightly rubbed) for Wolksky & Co Ltd.  Both sit a a lovely original brown leatherette case with a push button opener. The interior is furnished with a royal blue velveteen pad for the items to sit upon and a cream satin interior to the lid. Most definitely a very special set being the most exquisite design and also in wonderful antique collector''s condition. The case is also lovely and clean and in great condition....
