An exquisite solid silver vesta case with a lovely Scottie dog decoration. Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly and there is a good fastening loop on one side. The case has clear hallmarks visible on the inside lip of the Vesta for Birmingham Assay Office, with a date mark for 1920 and the lion passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith''s maker''s mark for Joseph Gloster Ltd.
