Silver Art Deco Rectangular Napkin Ring Birmingham 1929

A very handsome and unusual solid silver Napkin Ring. This rare rectangular shape is decorated with an iconic art deco engine turned pattern, with a circular empty cartouch in the centre. The other side of the Napkin Ring bears the hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1929 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver along with the silver maker''s marks: Turner and Simpson Ltd.
