Description

A set of very fine quality, Edwardian silver teaspoons and matching sugar tongs, in the original mahogany coloured leatherette case. The spoon handles and tongs have a most attractive and unusual pattern design (see images). On the back of each spoon handle are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1907 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker's marks are also very clear for the renowned silversmiths: Walker & Hall.

The set sits in the original handsome case: brown leatherette on the outside and a sumptuous brown velvet pad and cream satin interior. The silversmiths mark is also printed in gold on the inside of the lid: 'Walker & Hall - Sheffield'.

A superb set in lovely antique condition.
