Mahogany Library Bookcase

Description

Here we have for sale today this wonderful early 20th century 4 door library bookcase.

Manufactured in around 1920's in this Sheridan manor, and all made in solid mahogany with oak interiors and backboards.

Standing on a plinth with this inverted breakfront.

The base section having 4 drawers over 4 panel doors, the doors enclosing 3 separate compartments each with a fixed interior shelf, the door framework has inlaid detail, with the center panel painted with this oval Prince of Wales plume of feathers.

The top section has a very well moulded corneas, with 4 large glazed doors, inlaid detail to the framework, with good glazing bars. The 4 doors enclosing 3 separate compartments, with each compartment having 3 interiors shelf's with this adjustable ladder lo-pair system.

Its been into the workshop for a clean and re-polish and looks stunning with this medium mahogany colour (please see pictures).

This bookcase in solid in all its joints, with NO breaks, NO splits, NO woodworm.

Please note the this bookcase is in excellent condition, ready to use and requires NO restoration.

We are a furniture restoration workshop, busy from day to day doing restoration work for the trade and general public alike.

All items for sale have been restored if restoration is required, unless otherwise stated. Upholstered items will have been re-upholstered, however if the fabric choice is not to taste, we offer a re-upholstery service in customers own fabric, or from our wide range of Linwood and Jim Dickens Fabric ( samples available )
