Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The left hand corner has the integral Cigar Cutter, this pushes in an out and works well. The lid is hinged to one side and there is a loop at the side for attachment.

Hallmarks are clearly visible for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1911 and maker's marks for Henry Williamson Ltd . The lion passant is also visible indicating the finest sterling silver.

A superior Vesta case most unusual having the integral cigar cutter. Also a good heavy weight and feels very tactile when held.
