A very pretty, solid silver, Edwardian, heart shaped Pill Box with charming ornamented repousse lid and a small empty cartouch in the centre. The box is hinged on the right hand side and opens and closes perfectly. Very clear hallmarks are visible on the inside of the box which is beautifully gilded in a lovely golden shade. The hallmarks are for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1906, Lion Passant indicting sterling silver and the maker''s marks for the renowned silversmiths: Adie & Lovekin. There are also partial hallmarks to the side of the lid, however, these are rubbed so not clearly detectable.

A charming pill box in lovely antique condition. (There is a tiny ding on the side of the box just beneath the hinge which we mention for accuracy - see image 3).
