A lovely neat and stylish Egg Cup on an attached stand. The egg cup is a lovely plain and simple polished silver and sits on a dish style base. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side of the Egg Cup for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1943 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver, along with the silvermaker''s mark: James Dixon & Sons.
Great as a Christening or new baby gift. A lovely sturdy egg cup!
