Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A rare and charming pair of early solid silver Salt Spoons. Both of the spoons are fully hallmarked on the back of the spoon terminal for The London Assay Office with a date mark for 1798. The top of each spoon handle is engraved with the letter ''B''.

One of the spoons is very slightly misshappen in the centre of the bowl, however, this does not detract from the spoon and is commensurate with age and mentioned only for accuracy.
