A superb, beautifully designed, Victorian, solid silver Photograph Frame. Rectangular in shape the picture size is 6 1/4 inches x 8 3/4 inches. This frame is a lovely plain polished silver with lovely swirling scroll decoration to the top and the base corners (see images). Clear hallmarks are visible on the bottom edge of the frame for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1900 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The back of the frame is covered with a lovely purple velvet material.
A very attractive frame and particularly usable as it takes a good large size photograph.
Condition: In great antique condition. (There is a slight repair to the left hand bottom scroll work that we mention for accuracy only). Stands nice and solidly on the level.
Hallmarks: London 1900 .
