Silver 'heart Decoration' Vesta Case Birmingham 1910

An exquisite solid silver vesta case, exceptional engraving with a very attractive scrolling leaf pattern to both the front and back, and a lovely heart shaped vacant cartouche in the centre. Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly and there is a good fastening loop on one side. The case has clear hallmarks visible on the inside lip of the Vesta for Birmingham Assay Office, with a date mark for 1910 and the lion passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith''s maker''s mark for Joseph Gloster Ltd.
Very lovely design and in great antique collector''s condition.
