Superb Art Nouveau Silver Photo Frame by A&j Zimmerman

A superb solid silver Photograph Frame. The Frame is iconic Art Nouveau, decorated with the most wonderful curved lines of plants and flowers, in a lovely organic style - encapsulating the Art Nouveau era! The clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office, along with the date mark for 1904 are clearly visible on the bottom corner of the Frame, along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and the maker's mark for the renowned silversmith: A&J Zimmerman. The back of the frame is covered in an attractive bottle green velvet material.

The quality of the silversmith is evident!

 

Condition: In great antique collector's condition (there is a small dimple visible on the surface of the frame at the top within the oval shape (see images), however this is hardly noticeable and does not detract in any way from this beautiful Frame and is commensurate with the age of the item.
