An exceptionally impressive old European cut diamond ring. The centre stone – graded by EGL as H colour, VS2 clarity – is secured by four claws in a highly detailed and impressively crafted platinum mount set with forty eight-cut diamonds. A graduating line of eight-cuts run down the shoulders of the, with highly detailed foliate style detailing in the pierced and milgrained gallery – leading to a slender shank.
Accompanied by a diamond grading report from EGL (#1861026326).
Cut – Old European cut in the centre, with eight-cuts in the mount.
Colour – H in the centre. The diamonds in the mount are F to G.
Clarity – VS2 in the centre. The diamonds in the mount are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – A known 2.50 carat in the centre, with a further approximate 0.31 carat in the surround.
Circa – 1920.
Size – I (i) 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The diamond is 7.97 x 7.76mm. The ring is 10.9mm at the widest point and sits 7.5mm from the finger.
