Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase C1890. Wdb320/23.11

This is a lovely antique late victorian mahogany library bookcase and dating from aorund 1890. It has a cornice top with dental moulding above two arched glazed doors with original brass handle and working key with three internal adjustable shelves with original leather scalloped frieze. This is above an open space with carved frieze to the top and shaped supports to either end with circular cut out and a bevelled mirror to the back with carved panel to either side. To the base has a moulded edge to the top with one long drawer with original brass handles and being oak lined. There are two panelled doors with internal shelf and it stands on a plinth base.

The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with original patination and a lovely deep colour to the mahogany.

Measures: 87" high X height to top of base 36" X 20" deep X internal depth 13.5" X 42" wide
