Description

An unusual Chinoiserie breakfront bookcase or shop cabinet. The black ground lacquer with raised painted and gilded Chinese decoration with applied patrae. The top section having 4 bevel edged glazed doors with smaller star etched glass panels to the top. The lower section having 4 panelled doors with typical Chinese decoration including Pagodas, birds, trees and Chinese characters. Dimensions:- Height…Maximum Height…86’’/ 218.5cm. Width…52.5’’/ 133.5cm. Base Depth…18.5’’/47cm. Top Height…54’’/ 137.5cm. Base Height…32’’/ 81cm. Condition - very good with brass twist handles. Transports in 2 pieces. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £100.
